The Independent wall System involves the construction of an independent stud wall, which is a more labor-intensive and space-consuming approach compared to some other soundproofing methods. This method offers excellent soundproofing performance but is more involved in terms of construction and space requirements. It's often chosen for situations where the highest level of soundproofing is required, such as in home theatres or recording studios, where low-frequency sound control is critical.

Versatility: This soundproofing method can be applied to any wall structure, making it adaptable to different building configurations.
Frame Construction: A new frame, typically made of wood or metal studs, is built away from the existing wall. Resilient bars may also be added to enhance soundproofing performance.
Acoustic Insulation: Acoustic mineral wool is typically used within the stud frame to provide sound absorption. Two layers of acoustic board  are applied to the frame to create the soundproofing barrier.
Sealing: To ensure airtightness and prevent sound leaks, the perimeter and all joints on the first layer of the plasterboard are sealed with acoustic mastic.
Independence: The key to the effectiveness of this method is creating a physical air gap between the new stud wall and the existing wall. The independence of the new wall from existing structures is crucial for soundproofing performance.
Performance: This approach is known for achieving high-performance soundproofing across a wide range of frequencies, including low-frequency sounds. It exceeds regulatory requirements for soundproofing.Resilient Bars: The addition of resilient bars helps absorb vibrations, further enhancing the soundproofing capabilities of the wall.

It's essential to consider the space available and budget constraints when deciding on the most suitable soundproofing solution for a particular project. Consulting with professionals in acoustic design and construction is recommended for optimal results.
